Austin Xiang Yun Temple Choir Rehearsal Progress

Written by De Xue

On the evening of Thursday, March 6, the Xiang Yun Temple Choir held a productive rehearsal in the main hall, with over 30 participants from both Chinese and American backgrounds. The rehearsal featured classic pieces such as *Scarborough Fair* and the English version of “A Home of Dreams.” Under the guidance of choir director Richard Frazier, members focused on improving their vocal techniques and breath control.

During the rehearsal, singers were divided into three sections: soprano, alto, and baritone, working towards achieving a harmonious blend. Conductor Richard emphasized breath management and vocal modulation, helping members refine their singing skills with a more professional approach.

The choir also plans to learn the Chinese version of “A Home of Dreams” in upcoming rehearsals. This session helped members enhance their vocal abilities, laying a strong foundation for the upcoming performance. With continuous practice, they strive for perfection and look forward to delivering a spectacular musical performance for the audience on May 4.
