During the Lunar New Year, Vietnamese temples in the United States traditionally organize visits to other temples, led by Dharma masters. On February 8th, 12 Dharma masters from Phuoc Duc Monastery led 240 devotees to visit Xiang Yun Temple. On February 9th, Venerable Thích Nữ Liên Nhẫn from Tịnh Xá Minh Đăng Quang in Dallas brought 56 devotees to the temple. Xiang Yun Temple specially arranged for Vietnamese-speaking volunteers to warmly welcome the guests.
Under the guidance of the Dharma masters, the devotees paid homage to the Buddha, filling the main hall to near capacity. Since the temple’s supervisor, Venerable Jue Ji, was unavailable, Venerable Ru Yuan received the guests on behalf of the temple. She delivered a blessing in Vietnamese, saying, "Move forward, and the path will be bright." The two sides exchanged gifts as a token of goodwill. After the Vietnamese devotees finished their chanting and prayers, Venerable Ru Yuan presented them with oranges, symbolizing great fortune and prosperity.
Visitors praised the temple’s Lunar New Year decorations, with photo booths, a Dharma wheel, and a wishing tree attracting many attendees. Although their stay was brief, they deeply felt the warmth and festive spirit of Xiang Yun Temple. As they reluctantly departed, the Fo Guang members bid them farewell with a heartfelt rendition of "The Light of Fo Guang Shines on You."
