Austin Buddha Light Association Annual General Meeting

On the morning of December 7, the general meeting of the Buddha Light Association was held in the main hall of Xiangyun Temple. More than 100 members participated enthusiastically. Venerable Jueji of the Temple, .Ven. Yisong, Ven. Yongjia, and Ven. Ruyuan attended.

Liu Qing, president of the BLIA reported on the results of the meeting in 2024 and read out nine important resolutions of the World Council in 2024. Wen Ying, the chief volunteer accountant also reported the financial situation in 2024 to everyone.

The Chinese branch, the English branch, the first youth group and the second youth group, in addition to introducing their cadres, each group also produced lively videos to introduce various activities held over the past year, and recommended ten excellent volunteers of the year to thank them for their selfless efforts.

From the report, it can be seen that BLIA has grown over the past year. In addition to increasing 30 members we also assisted our temple in holding various lectures and actively participated in various religious and charitable care activities in the community. In particular, the New Year's cultural performance attracted nearly 2,000 people, which made people proud.

Finally, Ven. Jueji would like to thank all BLIA members and volunteers for their enthusiastic participation. I hope everyone can continue to move forward together and hold the North American Fellowship to be held in Austin next year.

After the meeting, the public enjoyed delicious vegetarian food in the dining hall, and happily won exquisite prizes in the lucky draw, and spent a happy and warm day with laughter!
