On November 28, coinciding with the Western Thanksgiving holiday, Younnie Wall, founder of Classical Music for the World, hosted a Thanksgiving music and family gathering. Specially invited were the Venerables from Xiang Yun Temple. The concert brought warmth and unforgettable music to approximately 60 guests.
The event began with a blessing from Venerable Jue Ji, setting the tone for an atmosphere of gratitude and joy. Guests shared a feast of rich Asian and American cuisine, with thankfulness in every smile and interaction.
Following the meal was a captivating musical performance. From operatic singing to cello and piano solos, each piece resonated deeply with the audience. A University of Texas student, YuXin, performed *Cloud Lake* and *Lighting the Lamp*, with lyrics composed by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. Through the power of music, the audience experienced the profound wisdom of Buddhism.
Additionally, the Venerables from the temple contributed with Buddhist chants and blessings, offering a glimpse into the unique and moving charm of Buddhist sacred music. The event concluded in an atmosphere filled with gratitude, warmth, and spiritual joy, leaving every participant deeply touched and with cherished memories to reflect upon.
