On the afternoon of August 12th, Venerable Jue Ji led the resident monastics to the new home of Brad Jacobson, the vice president of the BLIA, upon his invitation, to perform a blessing and purification ceremony. A total of 15 people participated. Brad is the founding leader of the Lucky Dharma Band. Over the past three years, he has actively volunteered at Xiang Yun Temple, setting a great example of altruism for the Fo Guang community. Prominently displayed on his bookshelf are several English-translated works by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, reflecting his dedication to studying and integrating the Master's Humanistic Buddhism philosophy into his music creations. Venerable Jue Ji gifted Brad with Master Hsing Yun's calligraphy 'All Things Auspicious' as a token of connection. She highly praised Brad as a pioneer in promoting Buddhism through music at Xiang Yun Temple, contributing to the localization of Buddhism. She encouraged Brad to transform his new neighborhood into a place of practice, where neighbors, friends, and family can also experience the benefits of the Dharma. Venerable Yong Ning, the venerable of the Denver Buddhist Temple who came to Xiang Yun Temple to support the Liang Huang Repentance Dharma Assembly, also praised the band led by Brad for helping Xiang Yung Temple reach out and stand out and boosting the popularity of the English Dharma Service.
