Xiangyun Temple Celebrates Lantern Festival - Series of Performances

February 24, 2024 is the Lantern Festival, and Xiangyun Temple holds the Lantern Festival celebration in the evening. The guests and devotees while enjoyed delicious food and sweet rice balls listen to beautiful song performance of the Golden Cowboy Band of Xiangyun Temple in front of main shrine on the Buddha path.

After the meal, there is a series of Lantern Festival performances in the main shrine hall. After Xiangyun Temple choir sings two songs, "Lighting Lights" and "Temple Fair" , there is an interesting Chinese and English lantern guessing puzzle. Participants raised their hands to answer, looking forward to receiving exquisite prizes. The wonderful performances of the lion dance troupe and the children's kung fu troupe won a lot of applause and cheers. The singing of "Four Sentences of Buddha Light" brought by Ven. Yongjia, and cooperated with coach Chen Rui's martial arts performance, pushed the atmosphere of the scene to the highest point!

Then, Ven. Jianji led the devotees and guests to recite the medicine Buddha’s Mantra and pray, and offer lanterns to pray for blessings. Then the guests and devotees are invited to Buddha's path together, to carry lanterns and walk around the floor’s lamps, light up wisdom and compassion from the heart, and also bring peace and happiness home, and spread joy all over the world. With the Buddha's light, the world is full of warmth, happiness, light and harmony!
