On February 8th, 19 female members of the Austin Country Club led by Ms. Susie Coordt Visit the temple. Venerable Jue Ji and Elaine Hsu welcomed the group.
After the visitors made offerings in the main hall, they watched the short film "The Life of Buddha" and listened to Master Hsing Yun’s teachings on the "Three Acts of Goodness and Four Givings." The visitors agreed with the concept of "Humanistic Buddhism" advocated by Master Hsing Yun, which applies Buddhist principles to daily life. After Ms. Elaine guided the visitors on an outdoor meditation garden tour, they learned about tea and Zen at the Tea House. Sister Li Qun demonstrated tea brewing, while Venerable Jue Ji explained the significance of Zen and Tea in Buddhism and how to taste tea. The visitors were very interested in this unique tea and Zen experience.
Venerable Jue Ji shared the "Seals of the Dharma King", featuring the teaching of Master Han Shan from the "365 Days for Travelers", Venerable Jue Jie gave each visitor a 2024 calendar and a calligraphic spring couplet by Master Hsing Yun. The visitors expressed gratitude for the hospitality and looked forward to visiting again in the future!
