On January 21st, BLIA Austin held a "Preserved Flower Arrangement Workshop" event, inviting Sister Wang Yuan to share her experience, leading volunteers in making " preserved flowers" for sale at the Jin Guang Ming Temple of the Fo Guang Shan Monastery. She shared fundraising experience with the members of the Xiangyun Temple.
Due to space limitations, only 10 participants were able to attend this event. At the beginning of the activity, Venerable Yongjia encouraged the participants to offer pure floral arrangements to the Buddhas and to cultivate the bodhisattva spirit while interacting with the public. Sister Helen Wang also encouraged everyone to create "preserved flower arrangements" with aspiration and compassion. The participants followed the teacher's instructions carefully, each person created two pieces of art within three hours.
These artworks will be displayed in front of the Buddha statue during the Lunar New Year, not only enhancing the festive atmosphere but also available for purchase by the members, thus provide financial support to BLIA Austin.
